Back when the Bible was created, the terms marriage, bride, and groom were probably explanatory, but in 2026 it is not a clear presentation of the relationship and reality of our interaction with Jesus, God Almighty, or the Holy Spirit.
It marks the final, joyful union between Jesus Christ (the Lamb) and His believers (the Bride) at the end of the age.
- The Lamb: Jesus Christ, representing His sacrifice as the payment for sin.
- The Bride: The Church, or all genuine believers united in faith.
- The Fine Linen: Clean, bright clothes worn by the bride, representing the righteous acts of God’s holy people.
- The Invitation: A blessing pronounced on all who are called to take part in this ultimate feast.
The relationship between us and Jesus Christ is the same as presented, but is clarified for the modern age, by the terms “join, unite with, merge, alliance, commitment, union, eternal joy, peace, and complete fellowship with God through Jesus and Holy Spirit, righteousness, having correct [priorities, pursuits, partnership and purpose] with God through Jesus].
At the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in Revelation 19:9, believers will celebrate the eternal union of Jesus Christ and His Church. We will feast, worship God, experience perfect joy without sorrow or fear, and begin unbroken fellowship with the Lord for all eternity.
God calls His people the bride to show His deep, personal love, fierce loyalty, and desire for a close relationship. The Bible uses marriage as the ultimate symbol for how God connects with His people, moving from an ordinary master-and-servant link to a permanent, loving union.

While on Earth alive, a true Christian has all the above relationships with God Almighty, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. We do not currently have “glorified bodies, lack of the sin nature, and are not in Heaven or Eternity with immortality”.
Jesus Christ has been in his current and future position in the hierarchy since God Almighty placed him there. Jesus Christ created the Church with his disciples when He was on Earth before Cross. He was and is now “head of the Church and its members”. Jesus is now “King of Kings”, “Head of the Family of God”, Head of God’s Kingdom”, “Head of the Church and its members”, etc. Jesus Christ and God Almighty live “in” alive on Earth true Christians NOW – through the Holy Spirit.
The things that change UPON OUR DEATH OR THE RAPTURE, is we will get “glorified bodies with immortality, no sin nature, live with Jesus Christ and God Almighty in Heaven, Millennium, and eventually Eternity, and work therein/thereon for and with God Almighty and Jesus Christ.
