Rapture vs 2nd Coming – both scriptural

The Rapture [whatever name you give it] takes place at a shout/trumpet at the pre-tribulation period or at the very beginning of the tribulation period.  Jesus remain in the air and does not set foot on Earth at this time.  He comes with the {in Heaven} saints and calls the living saints to join him in the air.  The dead saints get immortality and glorified bodies first and the risen saints then get their immortality and glorified bodies.  All saints at that time then go to Heaven with Jesus.  When they are in Heaven, they will attend the Judgement Seat of Christ to receive their rewards and/or account for their life on Earth.  They at some point while in Heaven will attend the Marriage Feast.  The Saints in Heaven remain in Heaven until the 2nd coming of Christ.

The 2nd coming takes place at the last trumpet at the beginning of the millennium [or end of the tribulation period – Armageddon], however you refer to that period of time.  Jesus Christ, Good Angels, and Saints in Heaven [in their immortal and glorified bodies]  return to Earth with Jesus Christ.  They all set foot on Earth at this time to participate in ruling Earth and helping the humans in the millennium to get, have, and/or retain their faith in God through Jesus with the help of the Holy Spirit.  Some humans in the millennium will later rebel and end up at the White Throne Judgement at the end of the millennium.  In any case, all humans receive “Good News” of salvation, God, and eternity.  Some of the saints that come with Jesus at the 2nd Coming help rule, others act as priests among the millennium humans.

=========

There will be new Christians who become saved during the whole tribulation period..  There will be the 144,000 new saints during the first 3 1/2 years of the tribulation.  They will experience persecution and often death for their faith.  All these new Christians will receive their immortality and glorified bodies at the end of the Millennium along with those saved during the Millennium.  From their death to this period of time, they will be in Heaven.

Some Christians and/or denominations skip the Rapture and mix it in with the 2nd Coming.  However, these two events are separate and in separate time periods. [1 Thes 4]
