Idolatry means elevating anything in creation above the Creator.
Idolatry is not just a religious issue, but a human one—where people can make idols out of money, success, self, technology, or power, regardless of their religious affiliation. People can make a denomination, its rites, its doctrine, or a preacher they follow, etc an idol.
Christianity is a walk with God, with help and revelation from the Holy Spirit, via Jesus Christ.
Religions often have human rules, human interpretations, denominational traditions, an/or church histories — regardless of God’s Will. Some religions place these things equal to or above God’s System and Will.
