Romans 6:16
\nKJV —\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/a>Know ye not, that to whom ye yield <\/u><\/strong>yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
\nNKJV —\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/a>Do you not know that to whom you present<\/u><\/strong> yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one\u2019s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading<\/em> to death, or of obedience leading<\/em> to righteousness?
\nNIV —\u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/strong>Don\u2019t you know that when you offer<\/u><\/strong> yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey\u2014whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?<\/p>\n

Notice in the above that you willing with complete knowledge<\/span> yield, present, or offer to follow and obey. Thus, you willingly become servants.<\/span> <\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

If you are in a prison [example: abused], under captivity [example: kidnapped, war captive, etc], and\/or physically or mentally abused [example: a minor]– you are not willingly yielding or offering to obey. The evil [sin] done is theirs.

Romans 10 9 — 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Proverbs 24:16 — is an encouraging verse that says, \u201cFor a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Romans 8:16, KJV: — The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God<\/strong>: Romans 8:16, NASB: The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, Romans 8:16, NLT: For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.<\/p>\n

Romans 8:1, ESV: — There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus<\/strong>. Romans 8:1, KJV: There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.<\/p>\n

Galatians 3 26 — 26 For ye are all the a<\/sup>children of God by b<\/sup>faith in Christ Jesus<\/strong>. 27 For as many of you as have been a<\/sup>baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor a<\/sup>Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all b<\/sup>one in Christ Jesus.<\/p>\n

Ephesians 4:24, NLT: — Put on your new nature, created to be like God–truly righteous and holy<\/strong>. Ephesians 4:24, CSB: and to put on the new self, the one created according to God’s likeness in righteousness and purity of the truth.<\/p>\n

Proverbs 16 3 — Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed<\/strong>. In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.<\/p>\n

Exodus 14 14 — 14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace<\/strong>. 14 The LORD will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” 14 The LORD himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ephesians 5:11, NASB: — Do not participate in the useless deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them<\/strong>; Ephesians 5:11, NLT: Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. Ephesians 5:11, CSB: Don’t participate in the fruitless works of darkness, but instead expose them.<\/p>\n

Galatians 2 20 — “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me.”<\/p>\n

Romans 6 23 — \u201cFor the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord<\/strong>\u201d (verse 23). If we serve sin, we get wages \u2014 something we deserve: shame and death. But if we serve God, we get eternal life as a gift, something we didn’t deserve.<\/p>\n

Micah 7:7 In-Context — 7 But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me<\/strong>. 8 Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light.<\/p>\n

Jeremiah 29 11 — Christians facing difficult situations today can take comfort in Jeremiah 29:11 knowing that it is not a promise to immediately rescue us from hardship or suffering, but rather a promise that God has a plan for our lives and regardless of our current situation, He can work through it to prosper us and give us a hope.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Proverbs 23 12 — This means that true wisdom requires intentional choices<\/strong>; a person can “know” what is right, but the heart must apply that knowledge to real-life situations.<\/p>\n
